Olympus E620: features and performance close to a semi-pro DSLR camera

E520 successor is still considered entry-level DSLR, even though the feature is approaching the semi-pro DSLR. Inspired by the success E-30, Olympus makes a surprise with radical changes in the E620 with the many improvements that make it able to compete with other entry-level DSLR. Packages available with 14-42mm kit lens (in some places are sold in packs double lens kit 40-150mm), with 12 MP sensor beraspek NMOS ratio 4: 3 and 2x crop factor, then this kit lens becomes equivalent to the 28-85mm. E620 has been equipped with 2.7 inch LCD screen that can be folded, live-view, anti-dust, and stabilizer in bodinya. So, although the E620 in this list to be the most expensive (and latest), but with all the extra features are worthy to be the best in DSLR beginners class.

  • Plus

Live-view with face detection, 7 point AF (AF points in the previous 3 E520), anti-dust SSWM, stabilizer in the body (4 stops) so that the lens is inserted through the stabilization effect, wireless flash for the flash of creativity, design and body looks solid not cheap, 2.7-inch LCD screen that can be folded, shadow adjustment technology, some of the buttons can glow in the dark, 4 fps burst mode is faster, and supports two kinds of memory cards (CF and xD).

  • Minus

Picture more noise at high ISO compared to competitors (because of the smaller sensor size of APS-C), tend to highlight clipping, the viewfinder is smaller than its competitors, the key layout spread over various camera body side.

Lens support

There are several quality Zuiko lenses, assuming a 2x crop factor sensor and Olympus, a telephoto lens will get more profit which could be a 400mm focal 200mm, for example. As a friend from the kit lens, can be considered Zuiko ED 40-150mm lens and can wear wide ED 9-18mm.
Conclusion

The entry-level DSLR into a product they are prima donnas who have limited budgets or those who just jump in the world of digital photography. With funds from 5 to 7 million, has been able to obtain a fairly complete DSLR camera, high quality and decent performance and has the kit lens package sufficient to start learning photographing. Although there are also entry-level DSLR that has the price of 8 millions (like the EOS 450D/500D, Pentax K200D or Nikon D5000) but according to us with the funds 7 million or less we can have a good DSLR beginners class, and 8 million fund is actually better used to purchase semi-pro dSLR like the Nikon D80 body only or Canon 40D.
